    The Croft Acton Cemetery was established in 1833 and has served as the final resting place for many notable individuals, including early settlers, Civil War veterans, and pioneers of the local iron industry. The cemetery is the final resting place of the Acton family, who were prominent landowners in the area during the 19th century, and after whom the cemetery is named. The oldest tombstone marked grave in the cemetery is that of Jennie Acton in 1833 who was the daughter of Samuel Acton, the original owner of the property from 1795 to 1882.
